The cooldowns and poison duration changed drastically in Patch 2.4, which fixed both the cooldown and long Damage Over Time issue. Kiting your enemies around while they drop dead from poison behind you is a very satisfying experience. This is not as popular as Lightning Javazon, but it's a fun spec to play with and it's a good leveling spec.
Some builds prefer to build using Jab and Fend for Physical damage, but the Lightning support is more effective at lower skill levels.
